And a sketch-to-3D scene bonus video!
🤖 We’ve talked about Figure many times. They’ve got a bi-pedal robot which can be trained end-to-end with AI: in broad strokes, this means their robot (the Figure 01) can “learn by watching” and adapt that knowledge to accomplish real world tasks. Not every action is hard-coded, and the world doesn’t have to be setup “just right”.
💬 WELL NOW THEY’VE GONE AND DONE BOLTED SOME DADGUMMIT GPT-4 CHIT-CHAT UP TO THEIR ROBIT AND JUST LOOKAT’ER GO!!
With OpenAI, Figure 01 can now have full conversations with people
-OpenAI models provide high-level visual and language intelligence
-Figure neural networks deliver fast, low-level, dexterous robot actionsEverything in this video is a neural network:

Granted, this world with the bright red apple and plastic plates is carefully crafted for the demo, but the promise and implications remain.
🖌️ Denmark based artist Martin Nebelong shared a delightful clip of their custom “sketch to 3D” workflow, which stitches together multiple apps to make drawing fully-realized 3D scenes a relative breeze.
From sketches in photoshop to a full 3d scene.. what a crazy time to be alive.
The workflow was: Sketching in Photoshop, Screen2image in Krea AI, using a tool called Windowtop to superimpose the Krea transformation over Photoshop as I was painting, and then turning the resulting… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
