🪄 Gaming Tech Turns Months to Seconds | Daily Drip
This one stopped me in my endless scrolling tracks, and I think you’ll be similarly intrigued.
The tweet and video below kinda say it all, so, let’s start there:
We're really excited to reveal some of what we've working on at Latent!
Introducing our new real-time animation technology based on physics and AI, where animation emerges as a consequence of interactions with the environment. No keyframes. No prebaked animations.

Characters are fully physical - like virtual robots - and neural networks drive their muscles in real-time. Devs no longer need to spend countless hours animating every possible interaction with the world: they emerge from physics, with unprecedented dynamism.
Big promises, but we’ve seen paper-after-paper showcasing the fusion of physics and AI for animation systems, and this feels in-line.
I’m gonna keep an eye on the Latent team, for all of us; if only to giggle at their test-avatars getting rag-dolled to the high heavens. That’s just good stuff.
If you dig these daily drips, or there’s something you think we should feature/discss, let us know, and please consider sharing this with your friends and frienemies:
As always, kisses hugs and belly-rubs!
