Adobe: New AI Tools Will Change The Way We Do Everything

As we turn the corner on a new age of creative opportunity, holdouts remain.

Welcome back to the AI For Humans Newsletter!

We’re still reeling over the ridiculous list of AI features Adobe showed off last week. Remember, this is the company that millions of creative professionals (some of whom hate the idea of AI) use everyday and these are the people now directly integrating AI into their work flows.

Just how much did they announce at their Adobe Max event? Take a look at the sprawling list below…

They are not messing around.

Each of these tools got us pretty excited but we have seen some negative response on social media about the fact that Adobe has gone all in… but that sort of reaction seems to be dwindling over time.

It might just be that creatives who despised the idea of AI in their creative tools are now seeing directly how they can benefit from integrating them.

And for the hardliners, there’s always Procreate.

Meanwhile, at Procreate

We’ll continue to argue that these tools are going to level up creative work across the board and expect to see them gain more mainstream acceptance.

Until next week,

-Gavin & Kevin

3 Things To Know

Suno Scenes: A Soundtrack For Your Life
A fun update to one of our favorite AI music generation tools - provide Suno with an image on the iOS app and it’ll craft a song about what it sees. It’s fun, but we anxiously await the Meta Ray-Ban integration to score our own personal Secret Life Of Walter Mitty in real-time.

People Are Using Hailuo To Make AI, Like, So Emotional
Minimax’s Hailuou pushes AI’s expressiveness further than ever before. Is this a good thing? We made a video about it yesterday, exploring whether this ultimately creates a more human interface, or is the beginning of something… more uncomfortable.

The OpenAI Hype Train Chugs On
New interviews with the OpenAI team have us particularly titillated this week. CPO Kevin Weil stressed the o1 reasoning model is only at the GPT-2 level, suggesting more inference-time compute (make computer think long time) will greatly improve model performance. We also got confirmation the still unreleased o1 model (not o1-preview) is smarter than you are, and is coming for your job.

We 💛 This - Perplexity Spaces

Today’s best AI search engine Perplexity recently rolled out a feature that allows for you to upload your own documentation. Provide up to 50 files, each up to 25MB in size, and force it to either answer questions exclusively from your docs, or your docs + the web.

It’s a lovely solution for teams who regularly refer back to a common dataset. A collection of meeting transcripts, blog posts, recurring b-roll, research materials. It solves for the problem of where’d the AI get that thing from?
